No cages, no kennels, and all the comforts of home!
For many years, we have had it on our hearts to provide a place where dogs felt at home when their owners were away. It all started with our beloved labradoodle Bonnie. We diligently looked for a place where she would feel comfortable while we were on vacation. Fortunately, we found a place where she felt cozy, secure, and happy. We were so inspired after discovering that place where the dogs felt home and cared for that we decided to pursue our dream of giving this care to other dogs. We both have a deep love for animals, especially dogs, going back to our childhood. Bonnie has been with us through many travels from Germany to America, and we are so happy to see that we found a place where she feels incredibly happy in this beautiful rural setting that sits on 5 acres of peaceful woodland and meadows. It is a perfect place for dogs to enjoy the stillness and the peace of the Edgewood countryside. The dogs will live with us together in our home, so there are no cages or kennels. Only cozy sofas and lots of playing and cuddling. They will also enjoy free roaming over the spacious, fenced-in areas on our property.
We met in Co. Kerry Ireland in 2005, and lived there for half a year together. We then moved to Bavaria Germany and lived in a small and pleasant village where we raised our family for 16 years. In 2021, we moved to New Mexico and settled hereinEdgewood.
While you are on vacation or have other activities that keep you from being at home with your dog, we provide a place where your dog will feel completely comfortable, giving you peace of mind that your loved one is in a safe and cozy environment. Your dog will be supervised the entire duration of their stay and will live with us as if they were at home. In our cozy and spacious home, your dog will have access to comfortable beds, soft sofas, and plenty of toys to play with. So they will be comfortable and looked after their entire stay. On our grounds, the dogs can utilize our fenced-in area where they are free to roam in comfort and security while enjoying our supervised daily playtime outdoors.
Having such a spacious and peaceful dog boarding home, where your dog will feel comfortable without the use of cages or kennels, we would recommend a Meet and Greet. This entails an initial meeting where your dog and yourself will meet with us to determine if our accommodations are suitable, and if your dog comes along well in this setting with other dogs. These Meet and Greet appointments are free of charge, and the general boarding cost is 50$ per day. You must provide the food for your dog, and if your dog has a special diet or any particular medication that needs to be administered, please notify us, and we will take care of all that's necessary. All detailed information for boarding can be found on our website under the "Booking" link. Please read through them thoroughly and bring all of what's required to the scheduled appointment.
At cozydaysdogboarding, we also offer small animal boarding for rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, ferrets, and other exotic pets.
Our cozy accommodations make our smaller guests feel at home. We provide a safe and pleasant atmosphere, and we will mindfully care for your pet to ensure that they are healthy and happy while you are away.
We also provide a secure space for cages and aquariums, but do not provide bedding, food, or litter. Cages or aquariums must be provided for these boarders along with their food, bedding, litter, and water.

Please also note that if your pet is on a medication that is in pill form and it does not take it well, we may not be able to ensure sufficient administration.

Before boarding your loved one in our home, we require a Meet and Greet so you can see where your friend will stay during your absence. It's also very important to see how your dog feels with us and our grounds.
Our grounds are very beautiful. We sit on five acres of woodland and meadow. Your dog will feel wonderful roaming the spacious, fenced-in area surrounding the house and playing with the other dogs.
The Meet and Greet appointments are completely free of charge. We want you and your dog to feel comfortable and have a wonderful experience with us. If the Meet and Greet goes well, from then on, your dog can always come to our home whenever you need a safe and cozy place for them to stay.
For us to be the best caretakers for your dogs, we need to know as much as possible about their lives. For this reason, we ask our customers to fill out a form to give some insight into their dogs. We also ask for a short biography about your dog, as the more information we have, the better we can understand their personality and what they have experienced in life.
This is especially important if your dog comes from a difficult background, has lived in a shelter before, or may have had traumatic experiences. This knowledge will help us provide understanding and sensitivity, creating more familiarity – something we strive to offer each dog that stays with us.
To stay in our home, there are some requirements that must be met.
What you are required to bring:
Hopefully, we will not need any veterinary services during your dog's stay. However, should an emergency occur, we will take your dog to our veterinarian in Edgewood, who provides excellent service.
If a veterinarian is needed, the owner is liable for all costs incurred. For this reason, a waiver detailing possible issues must be signed. This waiver must be completed before boarding.
We will also need a phone number where you can be reached in case of an emergency, as well as a contact person who will be responsible for your dog if you cannot be reached. An address on file is also required.
Each form is available as a PDF that can be accessed online and downloaded to print out, submitted electronically, or filled out in person with us.
The required forms are:
You can find these forms below
We also have all forms available in our office, and you can fill them out on the day of boarding. However, please keep in mind that the biography, in particular, should be written before boarding, as it needs to be as detailed as possible.
We hope this provides you with all the information you need for your dog's boarding, but if anything is unclear, please don't hesitate to contact us. We want you and your dog to feel comfortable and cared for here at CozyDays Dog Boarding.
We look forward to meeting you and your loved one.
